The EZ-GO Forward/Reverse Switch for PDS fits models from the 2000 model year onward because that's when EZGO abandoned the PDS model. This wasn't their first foray into the world of bypasses. They were responsible for one of the first bypass golf carts, known as the DCS. This was a step toward the PDS propulsion system that carries the TXT almost to this day. Two things easily identify this system. There's a run and trailer switch located on the controller cover, under the seat. The other thing is this rocker switch on the dash. If you have those two items, you almost certainly have a PDS model. If you only have the switch under the seat, you have a DCS model. Finally, if you have a copper contactor panel under the passenger-side seat, you have a series system.
This golf cart rocker switch is easy to install. It doesn't even require a drill. You may need a flat-head screwdriver to help remove it, but that's about it.
